Spinners, which McCauley introduced to its product line in 1957, serve both cosmetic and functional purposes. Spinners are now available for most propeller applications. In addition to enhancing aircraft appearance, spinners reduce drag by streamlining airflow which in turn provides improved engine cooling and ram air induction on turboprops. Our spinners are lightweight and designed with a unique front support that automatically centers the spinner during assembly. The support itself is made of a synthetic material pre-loaded during installation that helps dampen vibration. In addition to its own spinner manufacturing capabilities, McCauley also uses spinners supplied by various aircraft manufacturers.
