In some instances, the courses we offer can be combined to fit your specific training needs. This "custom training"is done on an individual basis. Please fill out our Training Request Form and we will contact you with pricing and availability. Additional lead time may be necessary in these situations. Not all classes are combinable.

Introduction to McCauley Propellers & Field Maintenance

Course Duration: 12 hours (1.5 days)

Course Tuition (per student): $300.00

Note: A minimum of 2 students is required to set a firm class date.

This course will include a brief history of McCauley Propeller Systems. The student will learn how McCauley propeller and governors
operate. They will also learn to understand our part numbers, model numbers, and serial numbers of blades, hubs and propellers. A selection
of active Service Bulletins and Service Letters will be discussed with a focus on SL 1995-4B, Field Inspection and Repair of Propeller Blades.

The student will learn the different parts of a McCauley propeller and how they function together. Students will also learn how to
differentiate between our various models of propellers. The student will also participate in the build-up and tear-down of a C400 Constant
speed propeller with an explanation of blade angle setting and blade tracking. Removal and replacement of a de-ice boot on a C400 series
propeller is included in the course.

This is an informative course for your new employees or for those with limited experience on McCauley Propellers, A&P mechanics,
maintenance personnel and even owner operators who just want to increase their knowledge.

This is NOT an overhaul course.

Aluminum Fixed Pitch Propeller Overhaul

Course Duration: 12 hours (1.5 days)

Course Tuition (per student): $500.00

This course will introduce the student to the fixed pitch overhaul manual, 730720. The student will learn how to inspect the propeller,
measure propeller dimensions and balance a fixed pitch propeller using a knife edge balance tool. Additionally, we will discuss the
re-pitching process. Field inspection and repair of the propeller per SL 1995-4B will also be included.

Student Requirements:

  • Student must be working under a certified FAA Propeller Repair Station (or international equivalent).
    OR
    Student must be working to set up a propeller repair station with the FAA (or international equivalent).

C200/C400 Propeller Overhaul

Course Duration: 32 hours (4 days)

Course Tuition (per student): $1250.00

This course covers the overhaul of McCauley C200 and C400 Constant Speed Propellers. These are 2-blade and 3-blade constant speed
propellers. The student will learn how to follow the overhaul manual to correctly disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble McCauley
C200 and C400 series propellers. Training aids for this course will consist of a variety of C200 and C400 propellers. This course also
includes instruction for blade overhaul.

Student Requirements:

  • Student must be working under a certified FAA Propeller Repair Station (or international equivalent).
    OR
    Student must be working to set up a propeller repair station with the FAA (or international equivalent).

***If de-ice boot removal and replacement is desired, we now offer this training as an add on course to the
C200/C400 Propeller Overhaul class. It is approximately a 1/2 day course and runs $150.00

C300/C500 Propeller Overhaul

Course Duration: 32 hours (4 days)

Course Tuition (per student): $1250.00

This course covers the overhaul manual for McCauley full feathering two and three blade propellers. The student will learn how to
follow the manual to disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble teh C300 and C500 series propellers. This course also includes
instruction for blade overhaul.

Student Requirements:

  • Student must be working under a certified FAA Propeller Repair Station (or international equivalent).
    OR
    Student must be working to set up a propeller repair station with the FAA (or international equivalent).

C700/C750 Propeller Overhaul

Course Duration: 32 hours (4 days)

Course Tuition (per student): $1250.00

This course covers the overhaul of the McCauley C700 and C750 series turbine propellers. These are 3-blade and 4-blade full feathering
and reversing propellers. The student will learn how to follow the overhaul manual to correctly disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble
McCauley C700 and C750 series turbine propellers. This course also includes instruction for blade overhaul.

Student Requirements:

  • Student must be working under a certified FAA Propeller Repair Station (or international equivalent).
    OR
    Student must be working to set up a propeller repair station with the FAA (or international equivalent).

C703 Field Reassembly

Course Duration: 24 hours (3 days)

Course Tuition (per student): $1000.00

This course examines the assembly of a Caravan C703 propeller, which has been previously assembled from the McCauley factory
or overhauled, and disassembled for shipment. The student will learn how to assemble the propeller on the aircraft, straight from the
shipping container. Additionally the student will learn how to partially disassemble the propeller for shipment to an authorized service
center or repair station.

Note: After completion of the course, students will be awarded a certificate. This certificate must be presented to the local FAA PMI
for authorization to perform the work.

Student Requirements:

  • Student must be working under a certified FAA Propeller Repair Station (or international equivalent).
    OR
    Student must have an FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.

C1100 Field Reassembly

Course Duration: 24 hours (3 days)

Course Tuition (per student): $1000.00

This course examines the assembly of a (Jetstream 41) C1100 propeller, which has been previously assembled from the McCauley factory
or overhauled, and disassembled for shipment. The student will learn how to assemble the propeller on the aircraft, straight from the shipping
container. Also, the student will learn how to partially disassemble the propeller for shipment to an authorized service center or repair station.

Note: After completion of the course, students will be awarded a certificate. This certificate must be presented to the local FAA PMI for
authorization to perform the work.

Student Requirements:

  • Student must be working under a certified FAA Propeller Repair Station (or international equivalent).
    OR
    Student must have an FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate.
